Endangered Species Management, New York Nick Ali to represent Canada at the 2003 Havana Jazz Festival Toronto's own young Trinidadian-born latin-jazz trumpet icon Nick "The Brownman" Ali (leader of the award-winning latin outfit CRUZAO) has been honoured by being asked to represent Canada at the Havana Jazz Festival in December (8-16)! Tentative scheduled performances will include Brownman as a featured soloist with the legendary IRAKERE, a concert with cuban drumset master Enrique Pla and a trio performance with members of the Cuban All-Stars. |
