Nick Ali to represent Canada at Estonian Jazz Festival

Endangered Species Management, New York Trumpeter Nick "The Brownman" Ali, leader of Canada's top latin-jazz outfit, has been asked to represent Canada at a prestigious festival - The Nomme Jazz Festival in Estonia. Just completing a 57 date coast-to-coast whirlwind National Tour to promote the release of NICK ALI & CRUZAO's debut release "Shades Of Brown" on Justin Time Records, he returned to Toronto to find an invitation from this former member of the Soviet Union's Jazz Festival in conjunction with the Canadian Embassy in Estonia asking him to be Canada's "Jazz Ambassador" at this year's festival held in the city of Tallinn. The festival runs Oct 16-21. Appearances will include performances with some of the Baltic Region's jazz elite and a special concert at the Canadian Embassy in Estonia which will feature some of this young trumpet player's original compositions (Nick was the 2002 Canadian National Jazz Award recipient for "Jazz Composer Of The Year")
