A night of hard-swinging selections from the iconic Blue Note Records jazz label. Featuring internationally acclaimed jazz artist BROWNMAN ALI and an all-star cast of Toronto's jazz finest will bound through a night of innovative arrangements by Blue Note  artists such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Herbie Hancock, Art Blakey, Freddie Hubbard, Lee Morgan, Grant Green, Horace Silver, Joe Henderson, Wayne Shorter, Hank Mobley and many more of theprimordial names found on the Blue Note record label - America's seminal jazz label since 1939.  Brownman's cross-generational Blue Note ensemble includes 20-year old UofT piano sensation ERIC LIANG; 23-year old current Manhattan School of Music phenom JACOB CHUNG on tenor; in-demand bassist from the Nick Maclean Quartet BENNETT YOUNG; and the patriach of the now famous Botos family FRANK BOTOS on drums, who sounds like he stepped right out of a Blue Note record.  You won't want to miss this.
